# What is Atllas?

> An overview of the Atllas Portal and its two AI-powered products.

Atllas Portal gives businesses AI-powered phone agents that handle outbound sales calls and inbound reception — without hiring additional staff.

## Atllas vs Atllas X

Atllas comes in two flavors, depending on what you do for a living:

## Two Products

### AI Calling

AI Calling runs automated outbound call campaigns. You upload a list of contacts, configure how the AI should speak and what it should say, and launch. The AI calls every contact, handles objections, leaves voicemails, and sends follow-up SMS or emails — all autonomously.

Use AI Calling when you want to reach a large number of prospects at scale.

### AI Receptionist

AI Receptionist answers your inbound calls 24/7. It greets callers, answers FAQs, collects contact details, books meetings, and forwards warm leads to your team. Every call is transcribed and scored for lead quality so you never miss a hot prospect.

Use AI Receptionist when you need every inbound call answered, even outside business hours.

## How Credits Work

Both products run on a credit system: one credit per connected call, regardless of how long the call lasts. Calls that fail to connect are refunded automatically. Credits are included in your subscription plan and can be purchased separately.
