Off by default. If a recovery call goes unanswered, Atllas can automatically try again a limited number of times before giving up, instead of treating the first missed call as the end of the story. First-attempt pickup rates are typically well under half, so a second (or third) attempt meaningfully improves how many cancelling customers are actually reached.
Retries are configured per campaign from the campaign editor’s Missed Call Retry panel: turn it on, set the minimum gap between retries (15–720 minutes; the default is 2 hours), and choose how many additional attempts to make after the first missed call. The panel’s setting is what governs your campaign — switching it off stops retries for that campaign even if retries were previously enabled for you by the Atllas team.
When enabled:
  • Atllas re-dials a customer who didn’t pick up, making the additional attempts you configure after the first missed call (up to 5 additional attempts — six total including the first call, the same range as regular campaigns)
  • Each retry still respects your campaign’s configured calling hours — retries never call outside the same window your regular calls do
  • Before ever re-dialing, Atllas re-checks the subscription with your billing provider. If it’s since been resubscribed, un-cancelled by you or the customer, or the billing period has already ended, the retry is skipped and the enrollment is parked instead — Atllas never calls about a cancellation that’s no longer current
  • If the customer is reached and the call ends in any outcome — saved, declined, or (for fully-ended subscriptions) a resubscribe link sent — no further retries happen. Only a genuinely unanswered call schedules another attempt
  • Once the maximum number of attempts is used up without an answer, Atllas sends one last-resort offer text so the customer still receives the offer they were never reached about — see Offer Texts. After that, the cancellation proceeds as normal

Making sure every cancellation gets its call

Normally the first win-back call goes out within about a minute of the cancellation. Occasionally that very first call can’t be placed right away — a momentary hiccup reaching your calling provider, for example. When that happens the enrollment shows an awaiting call indicator on your Revenue Recovery home so it’s never invisible, and Atllas automatically retries placing that first call in the background (re-checking the subscription first, exactly like the retries above, so a customer who has since resubscribed or been un-cancelled is never called). If the call still can’t be placed — for instance, the number isn’t eligible to be dialed — the enrollment is flagged for you under Needs attention rather than left stuck. This runs whether or not Automatic Retries is enabled.
