Call handling actions define what the AI does when certain conditions are met during a call. You can turn on more than one action at a time.

Available actions

Email Notifications

Turn email notifications on to receive a summary after every call. Notifications are sent to your account’s email address.

Follow-up Text (SMS)

The AI offers to send the caller a follow-up text during the call. Choose one of five pre-approved message templates. They are the same templates that AI Calling campaigns use: Each template also exposes the same fields as AI Calling: A few things to know:
  • Consent is required. The text is only sent after the caller verbally agrees to receive one during the call. The AI asks first, and our system confirms consent from the transcript before sending.
  • A transcript is required. Voicemails and failed calls never trigger a text.
  • A visible caller ID is required. Callers with a blocked or withheld number cannot be texted. There is no number to send to.
  • AI-populated templates (Appointment Confirmation, Conversation Summary) fill in their details automatically after the call ends. If the details cannot be determined, hyzl skips the text rather than sending it incomplete.
  • Sender name and link are per-receptionist overrides. They fall back to your shared defaults when left blank. Setting one here does not change the shared default your AI Calling campaigns use. Use Edit default link to change the shared default explicitly.
  • Template text is pre-approved for SMS delivery and cannot be edited. Only the highlighted fields (sender name, link, offer details) are filled in.
  • A single Save button saves all changes to the section together: template, sender name, link, and offer details. Discard reverts any unsaved edits.
The AI will naturally work the offer into the conversation. For example:
  • “Can I text you a link to book a time?”
  • “Would you like a text summary of what we discussed?”

Call Forwarding

Transfer callers to a human when the conversation warrants it. Call forwarding is a cold transfer by default. The AI connects the caller directly to the target number. Turn on Warm Transfer to have the AI briefly introduce the caller before handing off. See Call Forwarding for full details.

Keypad Navigation

Some inbound numbers route through a phone tree before reaching the receptionist. If yours does, configure keypad navigation to handle menu prompts automatically. See Keypad Navigation for details.
