Your AI Receptionist needs a dedicated phone number that callers can dial. Atllas provisions this number for you — every account gets exactly one number, purchased through Atllas.

Reserving a Number

During the receptionist setup wizard:
  1. Navigate to the Phone Number step
  2. Search for available numbers by area code (e.g. enter 415 for San Francisco)
  3. Select a number from the list
  4. Click Reserve Number
The number is immediately assigned to your account and ready to receive calls.

Using the Number

Once reserved, share this number as your business phone number — on your website, Google Business Profile, email signatures, and marketing materials. All calls to this number are handled by your AI Receptionist.

Limits

  • One number per account. Multiple-number setups are not supported.
  • No porting. You can’t bring an existing business phone number into Atllas. The number you reserve here is the only one your receptionist can use.
  • Atllas-provisioned only. Numbers must be reserved through the portal. You can’t connect a number from another carrier.
If you outgrow these limits, your alternative is to forward an external number to your Atllas number using your carrier’s call-forwarding feature.
