Outbound campaigns are editable only before they start dialing, when their status is Draft or Scheduled. Once a campaign is running, the API rejects edits with a 409 response: “Campaign is no longer editable. Please duplicate it and try again.”

Edit a draft or scheduled campaign

While a campaign is in Draft or Scheduled status, you can edit:
  • Campaign name
  • Contact list (recipients)
  • Call script and call details (userPrompt)
  • Voice and voice settings (Speech Rate, Stability, Similarity Boost)
  • AI Speaks First first message
  • Voicemail message
  • SMS follow-up template and SMS data (meeting link, sender name, promo code)
  • Email follow-up template and missed-call email template
  • Schedule (calling hours, days of week, daily call limit)
  • Call forwarding number and Warm Transfer toggle
  • Background ambiance (Background Sound)
  • Keypad dialing toggle
  • Industry and language
  • Scheduled launch date/time

Duplicate a campaign

Duplicate is a first-class action, not just a workaround. You can reach it in three places:
  • Any campaign row’s ⋮ menu.
  • The bulk Duplicate Campaigns action, after choosing multiple rows on the campaign list.
  • The campaign’s detail page.
hyzl creates the duplicate as a Draft with all settings copied, ready to edit and launch.

Once a campaign is running

You cannot edit a running campaign. If you need to change something:
  1. Open the campaign from the dashboard.
  2. Click Cancel Campaign.
  3. Duplicate the campaign to create a new one from it.
  4. Edit the duplicate while it is still in Draft.
  5. Launch the duplicate.

Cancel a campaign

Cancelling stops a running campaign permanently. Calls already placed are preserved in the results. Remaining queued contacts will not be called.
Cancel a campaign only when you are sure. The cancellation is irreversible and there is no pause or resume. To dial the remaining contacts after you cancel, duplicate the campaign.
